Northern Ireland - County Down

We decided our day trip should include a look through the National Trust property of Mount Stewart Estate, which has been voted as one of the top ten gardens in the world.  This area around Strangford Lough is designated as an area of special scientific interest due to its almost Mediterranean feel to the climate. A lot of plants thrive here that would not normally grow in other areas of Ireland.
